Cherished Memory Funds

Cherished Memory Funds   provide an online space for you to remember your loved one. It's somewhere to share memories, photos and videos while raising funds for Marie Curie. You can share the link with friends and family so they can contribute as well. A Cherished Memory Fund is a special way to honour the life of someone important to you and help their memory live on.

You can make contributions through donations received at memorial services and funerals, or by doing your own fundraising activity. The choice is yours.

Setting up a fund

It only takes a few minutes to set up, and there's no time limit on your page once you've created it. You're welcome to grow it year after year as a lasting tribute to the memory of your loved one.

Cherished Memory Funds steps

If you have already made offline donations to Marie Curie, these can be added to your Cherished Memory Fund page so you can see the total raised in memory of your loved one.

Contributing to an existing fund

You can search  for an existing Cherished Memory Fund on our website, make a donation and leave a message.

If you're fundraising in memory of someone, you can add your fundraising event to their Cherished Memory Fund page and start collecting donations. Simply visit the fund page and choose 'create an event'.

How to fundraise

There are so many personal and powerful ways to raise money in memory of your loved one. Perhaps they had a hobby you could turn into a fundraising event – such as a sponsored birdwatch, bake sale, or even a coastal walk. Whatever you decide to do in their name, you'll be helping Marie Curie Nurses provide care and compassion to people living with a terminal illness.

Edward and his dad Nicholas smiling

The Marie Curie Nurses were so kind, understanding and professional – they treated Dad with respect and gentleness. Marie Curie helped us get through the hardest time in our lives, we couldn't have done it without them. We've now raised £2,400 as a family, and I hope to continue to support Marie Curie for the rest of my life.
