Patient services
Whatever the illness, we offer a range of hospice care services across the UK.
Outside of the NHS, we're the UK's largest provider of hospice care. We offer expert care wherever it's needed – either in one of our nine hospices or within the comfort of a patient's home. We also work in partnership to coordinate further services and support.
Our hospice services
Our nine hospices provide in-patient 24/7 care as well as outpatient support and wellbeing programmes for people approaching end of life.
Hospice care at home services
Marie Curie provides hospice care at home and in care homes, urgent hospice care at home which might be at weekends or overnight, as well as specific services that have been commissioned.
Companion services
Companions are trained volunteers who provide one-to-one emotional support to people at end of life.
Patient information and support
From diagnosis onwards, patients, families and carers have access to our complimentary services, including our online and printed information, our freephone Support Line, and our bereavement support.
You can direct patients to any or all of these free sources of support:
- the Marie Curie Support Line: 0800 090 2309 (8am-6pm Monday to Friday and 11am-5pm Saturday) or via online chat
- online information for patients and carers, including downloadable booklets
- hard copy booklets - you can order hard copies of any of our booklets to distribute to patients and carers.
