Superdrug and Marie Curie

Since 2013, our amazing partnership with Superdrug  , the UK’s leading health and beauty retailer, has raised over £5.5 million to help Marie Curie’s support services reach even more families facing terminal illness, and improve the care they receive.

Our partnership

We’re incredibly grateful to be extending our partnership for two more years, and to Superdrug’s colleagues, customers and suppliers for their continued support.

Throughout our partnership, Superdrug’s colleagues across their head office, distribution centre and 800 stores have worked tirelessly to raise vital funds through nationwide Great Daffodil Appeal collections, sponsored events, store fundraising weekends and commercial product campaigns.

But we’re not stopping there, and there’s so much more we can do together.

Introducing #lovethesmallthings

A cup of tea with a friend, a facemask, warm bath, chocolate… our new partnership campaign, #lovethesmallthings is all about celebrating those little things that make a big difference when you’re going through challenging times.

We’ll be launching new activities in Superdrug stores throughout the year that encourage colleagues and customers to treat themselves with care, to not be afraid to ask for help and to focus on the small things that mean the most when facing loss and grief.

Partnership highlights

  • Superdrug’s bi-annual Charity Balls have raised over £720,000
  • Over £1.5 million raised by Superdrug’s incredible colleagues through instore fundraising

  • Commercial campaigns with Superdrug suppliers have raised over £900,000
  • We’ve raised awareness of our two iconic brands on the high street and online
  • Superdrug is a main partner for the Great Daffodil Appeal, welcoming collections at all 800 of their UK stores
  • Together, we've produced a report on LGBTQ+ people's perspectives on palliative and end of life care  .

What Superdrug say

Superdrug partnership with Marie Curie

Commercial activity

We’ve worked with Superdrug to develop an exclusive range of Own Brand products which donate 15% of every purchase to Marie Curie. These popular limited-edition goodies have included face wipes, foot socks, a tanning mitt, body cream, shower gels, and many more beauty essentials.

In July 2018, Superdrug supported our Pamper Party fundraiser by donating 1p to Marie Curie for every product purchased from across the full Own Brand range for a week.

These popular products have now raised over £390,000 for Marie Curie since 2013, and we’d love to thank all the Superdrug customers who have supported us through their purchases!

For what’s on Superdrug shelves right now, look out for products in store and online which donate 15% of their sale price to Marie Curie. These include:

We’re excited to work with a number of other Superdrug suppliers who run on-pack donations on selected products in Superdrug stores and online.

In 2019, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Rodiol, Piz Buin and Sienna X joined forces to raise £100,000 for Marie Curie through our ‘Giving Back, Feeling Great’ campaign and Revolution Beauty launched a limited edition I Heart Revolution Marie Curie Heart Highlighter  , which donates £1 of every purchase to Marie Curie.

Commercial campaigns with Superdrug suppliers have raised over £900,000 since 2013, including our #FeelSuper campaign with P&G that ran 2014 to 2018.
