Commissioning in Northern Ireland

In Northern Ireland, we provide clinical services on a commissioned basis. This means we can work with Health and Social Care Boards, determining which of our services best suit which areas.

How we provide services in Northern Ireland

Marie Curie hospice care at home services span both planned care and rapid response, taking budgets into account.

Services can be commissioned as blocks of nursing with guaranteed availability, set delivery hours or pre-agreed funding allocations.

Alternatively, commissioners can pay for our services based on specific nursing input. With this variable option, resourcing is modelled to accommodate anticipated need.
