Let’s talk about death, dying and bereavement ECHO network
An ECHO network for London, South East and South West
The network was established to empower our community groups to be confident in talking about death, dying and bereavement. Register to the network here.
The target audience includes community facing practitioners (employed or volunteer roles), such as community centres, wellbeing coordinators, food banks, community action groups, and other interested public facing roles who may work with, support, or come into contact with people living with or caring for someone with a terminal illness, and/or the bereaved.
Whilst we expect most of the content to be relevant across the UK, there may be some content which is location specific. If you're based outside of London, South East and South West, please reach out to us to discuss this further.
Participants of the network will be offered a free pack of Marie Curie's Talkabout conversation cards. If you'd like to receive a pack, please look out for the Baseline survey you will receive once you register.
Objectives of the network
- Grow communities with compassion and kindness as fundamental values.
- Continue to change how we, as a society, deal with death, dying and bereavement.
- Better understand the impact financial insecurities, frailty, multi-morbidity and an aging population has on our communities and how we best engage them.
- Increase awareness of ECHO methodology as a way of sharing knowledge and improving care at the end of life.
