Project ECHO London St Mungo's network

A partnership with St. Mungo's to create a community of practice around the foundations of palliative care.

Objectives

  • To enable more people to die with dignity and comfort within the St Mungo's care homes, by improving the knowledge and confidence of those staff who are caring for them as they approach the end of life and provide support for any friends and family.
  • To enable the staff caring for those who are receiving palliative care to have a wider range of options and understanding with regards to how they can promote a better death for the people they care for.
  • To create a community of practice within St Mungo's where everyone is a teacher, everyone is a learner and build a network that is founded on excellent communication and collaboration.

Thank you, the team, and the guest speakers for all your efforts in providing this curriculum to our staff... This will be incredibly helpful not only in my role, but to the teams and how they support residents as well.
