Solihull Council Social Care ECHO Network

A programme developed with and delivered to end-of-life leads and champions based in the social care teams of Solihull Council. There were 23 unique learners from 23 organisations.

Objectives

  • To develop and improve the knowledge and skills of social care professionals in supporting people and their carers nearing their end of life.
  • To develop and establish a community of practice across Social Care providers across Solihull.

What participants said

  • "The speakers were clearly incredibly knowledgeable. The main lead appreciated our limited timeframes and stuck to the time allowed. The opportunity to openly discuss our own fears and address our questions to experts."

  • "The fantastic presentation from Dr Reed, it was so helpful. I liked the feeling I got about really working together and chance for discussion. It felt like a safe space to have discussions."

  • "Well presented and the trainers put you at ease where you felt comfortable to ask a question if you wished."

  • "The knowledge of the expert and how she was able to present it. Very well facilitated too - felt like we are a supportive group."
